This section
of the website is designed to provide
links to those sites on the web that
are of interest to members of Brisbane
Sci-Fi. This can range from major sites
that discuss topics about Science Fiction
or Fantasy, other clubs that we happen
to be associated with, or even games
we like to play online and would like
the group to join in, if they are interested.
So just have a quick read of the blurbs
to see what its all about and click
on the title if it sounds interesting.

Holly & Phoenix
- This
is the Harry Potter Fan Club site
run and designed by our very own Kimberly.
The fan club is for those that live
in the Brisbane area and usually have
meetups in the city on the first Sunday
of every month at O'Malley's Irish
Pub. There you can chat about Harry,
Hogwarts, or anything else that takes
your fancy. A definate must for anyone
in the group interested in the up
coming Book (the last one, sigh) and
Movie (number 5, can't wait).
Andromeda Web
- This
is Kimbo once again at her webdesigning
finest, but this time its for the
classic (and totally cheesy) sci-fi
show Andromeda (aka Hercules in
Space). This place has it all -
pics, clips, wallpapers, fan forums,
you name it this sites got it. But
remember, the pics are exclusive,
so if you wanna get a copy you'd
better check with Kimbo first, unless
you want Jason hunting you down
with his force-lance. Shing! Woo
Clang!
Space Fairy
-
Welcome kickass Earthlings. You
are just about to enter the site
of Space Fairy: Defendered of
Earth against the scurge of the
Galaxy. Here you can learn about
the legend that is Space Fairy
and what it takes to follow in
her footsteps. With photos, blogs,
videos and anything else you can
point a bubble gun at this site
will have to believing that Space
Fairies really do kickass. And
remember "With great Space
Fairieness come great responsiblity."
South
Park Studio
- I
totally love this thing! Its
so much fun and way addictive.
This is version 2 of the South
Park character design game they
brought out a while ago and
this one is twice as good. More
character pieces, costumes and
even a heap of stuff they can
pose with. I've already made
the entire cast of Star Wars
(OT), Star Trek (TOS), Firefly
and Battlestar Galatica. Maybe
next I'll start on the Heroes
cast. The possiblities are ENDLESS!
:D
Puzzle Pirates
- This
is a social online world where
you play a pirate. Its totally
free and really, really fun. You
get to RPG with other pirates
from around the world, work aboard
ships, and playing entertaining
little games to make booty. It's
very addictive and all the games
you can play are simple yet fun.
Plus you get to dress up your
pirate and by a house!
Homestar Runner
- I
love this site. It's probably the
best free flash cartoon on the web,
if not a little insane. Best bits
are Homestar himself and the Strong
Bad Emails. But if you're not really
into 'stupid funny' I would probably
give it a miss. Also, there tend to
be a few 'in jokes', so if you don't
start from the begining you'll probably
miss out on some of the gags. Honestly
though, this site totally has something
for everybody, everybody.
Battlestar
Galatica Pyramid
- I'm
pretty interested in getting a game
like this off the ground. The rules
seem straight forward and if not we
can always make stuff up as we go
along. The only problem I can really
see would be making the backboards,
which would take some time and its
not really worth doing if you can't
get a few teams together. Maybe I'll
get a court built once the group is
well establish. Regardless, its good
to have a link to the rules.
